A hands-on try out of the most important bushcraft skills with expert tuition on hand in the wild woods.

What will we do?

• Build a shelter from what you find in the woods

• Make a fearsome stone knife

• Light a fire using a firebow, flint and steel or bushcraft firesteel

• Cook some popcorn or marshmallows on the fire

How long do we have?

The bushcraft birthday is two hours long.

How old do I have to be?

You and your friends must be aged 8 (or coming up to 8) to have a bushcraft birthday.

Where will it take place?

Either at a wood you have access to, your garden or, if possible, Aston Rowant Nature Reserve.

Costs

£10 per head, minimum spend £80.
